It will be in the mail tomorrow with 20 comments wanting these powerful high speed supercars to be banned
Unless the van driver was an immigrant.

The Aston was stationary in lane one when I went past at around 12:00.

It was only a matter of time before this happened.
Probably out of fuel!

Such a shame though, they are beautiful frown My mate's DB9 is a thirsty bugger!

Let's not speculate gents.

As we're a sportscar loving site, I hope the owner isn't a PHer.

Why, is it normal to leave a car in the road, even if it ran out of fuel?
A lone woman, with nobody stopped to help? I'd say leaving it in place was about her only option.

I agree because there are some epically st drivers on the road who couldn't manage to avoid a stationary object. If she broke down it isn't her fault. Fault is totally with the driver who failed to avoid her.

Little update from the local rags page:

All involved ok. The Ka driver was airlifted to hospital due to a previous injury. One was release with the use of cutting tools (at a guess the Ka driver)

The story from the comments section, Aston Martin had broken down just past a bend (I know the stretch pretty well and there is a bend on a slight incline) and I guess it was a case of seen too late to stop for the van, or swerving into the already occupied over taking lane.

It is a 70mph section of motor way and sadly less than 1/4mile up from it is a huge lay by. The woman who was with the AM was reportedly seen on the phone at the side of the road just before the crash. Once again, proving its better to be out of the car rather than in it. After all, its only metal.

However another good use of the air ambulance, make me happy that I support such a great piece of equipment.
