The Mk2 Mondeo lights looked awful compared with the Mk1.

What happened to all the Mk1 Mondeos? - that was a really elegant design when launched.

I don't like the MK2 hatchback lights that much but think the saloon's look very good.
All the MK1s got killed in 2009 to be replaced by shiny Skodas and Kias.

Same as every other mainstream repmobile - worn out and met its end at the scrappy or the banger track. Even the very latest Mk1 Mondeo is 15 years old now. Agree it was an elegant design, particularly compared to its competition at the time.

When the boot lid cuts the light cluster in 2 it rarely works in my opinion - there is always an unsightly gap. I'm unsure about whether not trying to disguise it by changing the outer profile too (BMW-style) helps or hinders the look?

LED rear lights on Audis remind me of the cubes in Terrahawks for some reason smile

ETA: Just thought...while the boomerang lights on the 3200GT are probably more iconic, these are none too shabby:

F355. Great lights. Simple elegant.

I don't like lights that look like they were added on as an afterthought.

Fog lights and reversing lights have been mandatory for many years now. Design them in to the main light cluster.
