RE: Chris Harris video: the Spa Six Hours
Discussion
I had an increasing pile of comments for that as it went along, but by the end all I have to say is after watching untold hours of youtube over the years thats the best Ive seen. The cars, the sounds, the setting, the production and the monkey, utterly unreal. I want to be in one of those E-types at sunset more than anything else right now.
Real shame you didnt finish though guys, greatly look forward to seeing what next year brings!

As this has been my project for the last 5 months and I have spent most of this time underneath it I don't need to see it any bigger but I do like it though! Off to portimao with it now after which my infinite job list begins....how to dissolve money!Fantastic video, the 911 drifting at high speed (17:05)looked amazing

Really great video which certainly captures the event well. I attended this year's race and was with the Barley Motorsport Falcon which did finish the race. Similarly I did mix with the Jon Wolfe team and their Falcon which was competing in other races over the weekend. I am particularly interested in Falcons and currently have a '64 shell prepared, seam welded and caged, and hope to participate in some FIA specification racing in the not too distant future. Only query is why the car was referred to as a '63 Falcon when it is very obviously a '64? Answers on a post card please.

Is this the one I saw at Oulton a few weeks back? If it is, or isn't really, I want it!
Dinkel...good to talk to you also shame about my uncompromising position! See you in the algarve?Yes this was from oulton where it ended up in a sorry state as it morphed with the ex walkinshaw XJS! worked very hard to get it to spa so was reasonably upset that it then broke 3rd gear, talk of coming here to compete in the spa summer classic next year with it, this being a 4 hour race for youngtimer cars run by the same organisers.
Ah, an excellent video that goes some way to capturing the joys of this event.
I tried to capture the mood myself last year. So here's my infinitely more amateur, but still I think worthy attempt:

Lovely vid Chris, and I like many others am totally jealous.
Might just have to go to Spa next year for the 6 hours (spectating ofcourse), unless you need someone todrink beer with make tea
P.S I guess you didn't have any spare rockers with you or the problems were worse than originally thought?
