Just leave the MASSIVE jealousy you are dragging along with you at home,
Hey Presto your present car will be faster
Ha! I see what you did there Hey Presto your present car will be faster
Yeah, I realise the one-upmanship is probably a bit juvenile. I think I was just using it as an excuse to get a new car!
Puma sounds interesting, as does the 5 series...

They are not economical though. 30mpg overall - far less if you use that VTEC regularly.
Had one as a runaround 6months ago. Was totally reliable but used to get me no more than 28miles local driving for £10. (and that was granny driving mode)The 1.8 only revs to around 6350 RPM so it wasn't really all that quick or useful in VTEC. But did drink a lot more when used.

MR2. Absolute bargains at the moment.
MR2 Turbo, if you can get insured. Even in standard tune, it will blow most things into the weeds off the line and it'll keep up with many more expensive cars to 100mph. It's got more legs than that, but over 100mph the front end can lift disconcertingly and side winds can push the car about, you'll probably lose confidence in it then...And you can brag to your friend that you're in good company with a mid engined, turbocharged car.
