I still think they are a very good looking car. It is very smart. Also, thanks for posting a picture - at the time it would not let me. smile

I was on my iPhone and I could only send the link. I could not save the picture in my Photo Album on that specific website. It only allowed me to zoom in or send/copy the link. irked

Volvo 480ES or Turbo. Are they boring? Still not made my mind up about that one, but have no interest in them now
I wanted my Dad to get one so much, but he bought a 240 estate instead... I agree though, not sure if they qualify as boring

All because I had a toy one with a steering wheel that was mounted on the roof to make the front wheels steer. TBH 'd still have one but it would need some sort of mental engine conversion to sleeper it up!

Nick
My first car LOL. Mind, it was 1989 and that sweet 12 valve Honda engine was quick enough to make it a bit of a sleeper. Sort of.

I used to want a Ford Probe when they came out. I was about 10 at the time
We must be about the same age, a 24v probe looked so futuristic I wanted one.

I remember being 18 (1985) and quite fancying a Volvo 740 Estate. I guess I got into barges at an early age. I also remember loving my mates big old Granada 3l. I got my own slightly newer 2.8 not so long after.

Just thinking back to when I was a kid, for some strange reason I really, really wanted a 3 door Ford Maverick. I got the brochures from a Ford dealer, drew pictures of them, even worked out how many years it would take for me to save up and buy one(with pocket money??!)

Ironic really as I could probably pick one up for less than a grand now!

Any odd car desires you can remember from childhood or early motoring life that you laugh at now?!

(Naming genuinely great cars that you'd still have now doesn't count!)
Vauxhall Omega
Volvo S60
Ford Granada
Jag XJ6
Austin Metro (Mainly to make a 6R4 out of though, so probably doesnt count!)

Actually looking at that list I really do have a thing for big motorway barges!!!
