Although I'm not sure it's ready. It needed a new oil cooler which is having to come over from Germany. Last time I chased was Weds lunchtime. They are probably sick of hearing from me regarding the various bits and bobs that need doing. "Is this done, did you do that, what exactly did you do there, can I have the invoice for that' etc
They must be dreading me come to pick it up.

Only time it will ever get done though, once you've handed over the balance....Although I'm not sure it's ready. It needed a new oil cooler which is having to come over from Germany. Is this a bit pricey or do LCI cars command a big premium?

I'd want an AUC main dealer warrantied car for that sort of money.http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/use...
A year or two ago, I went to see an RS4 and a CLK63 at what appeared to be a sister outfit to that dealer (same area and both were advertising the two cars) - both lowish mileage and circa 3-4 years old advertised for around £27k. Upon inspection, they were both not examples I fancied buying - you could see pretty quickly why they were outside the approved dealer network despite being youngish cars. The Merc drove well, but had some poor paint repairs, a replacement service book and just felt more tired than I'd expect for the recorded mileage. The RS4 was just utterly manky up close - gave every impression that the previous owner had never, ever washed it either inside or out: the paintwork was in a state and the odd bit of trim was missing inside. No doubt it could have cleaned up well in the hands of a talented detailer, but when a car's in that sort of state you have to worry about the mechanical condition as well and with that in mind, the price looked very ambitious. I didn't bother driving it.

I think that is very pricey indeed. Similar spec to mine bar comfort seats. Two years younger, 12k miles less. Don't think that's worth another 7k to be fair.
Comfort seats are good, but that one has ventilated seats which means you have to have the rather hard nasca leather. And in beige it's a bit of an unexciting place to sit; not a patch on the normal cream beige LCI interior.hornetrider said:

This has such a great spec. It doesn’t seem daft expensive either for something so rare.
Its an old, sludge green old BMW that has a thirsty engine, petrol is knocking two quid litre. Its a narrow market for that, its probably half decent and looks well looked after but getting on for nine grand ? I sold a same year Merc CLS 500 five years ago and struggled flogging that, got five grand for it then. I know cars have gone up and its a rare spec, but its rare because its not a very nice colour and people who bought big V8 BMW's didnt like changing gears themselves.
Oh, and dont the engines tend to give trouble on these ?
Sure it will find a face, as if someone bought it new in that spec, someone will buy it secondhand, but if silver with black leather is resale spec, this is anti-resale spec, Its I dont give a fk about resale and am choosing what I want spec, fair play to the original owner but its is rather hideous.
Anyone ran it through WBAC or similar ?
