Has anyone ever asked how Gibbs makes its money? The ex shoe factory in Nuneaton with its mirror glass windowslooks as if it is empty. There never seems to be anyone going in or out.
They took an age to design and build an amphibious car for the over rich (in Nuneaton ffs),sold a couple and shelved the project. Where is the income to pay these ex jaguar designers?
Makes you think.

I believe the Aquada became a military product and was only shelved for normal public consumption. There will have been money involved.

I think the "now you can be an Ar**hole on and off the water" is pretty much the catchphrase for this. Making up a hypotheical scenario that you would use it in doesn't really happen. If you have a jetski they are only good fun when you have more than one and you get wet.
I really don't think this is going to lend itself to hooning on the roads very much.

I think the 'Special Forces' paintjob tells a lot about who they really want to buy this contraption...

Say you want to get to central london from (say) Southend and the A13 is blocked.

Simply drive to the beach, convert to a jetski and drive off. At the other end drive up one of the embankments and carry on your journey to work.

No sweaty bus/train journey, no hold ups on the motorway !!
I started a thread on Wed (hence this thread). Looking at the options of getting from Richmond to the City (in summer!) on one and more inportantly, the legalities.

I'd have an 8 knot limit to Wandsworth Bridge and then no speed limit to the City (as long as the speed is deemed to be safe and not excessive for the conditions).

Coming from Southend; you can blast it in with no speed limit!

I spoke to Gibbs yeaterday on a couple of points and they refered me to a dealer in France.

As said above I'd defiantly hire one but not sure if I'd sink my money into one!....
