Can anyone name a car from 1960s that is not considered a classic?

Id like to think my XJ8 wont depreciate any further and, if I can afford the fuel to keep it running, plan to have it a fair few years.

Sorry the thread has become a bot of a "what cars do you think may become classics in the future". I suggested a merc c63. Don't own one (would love to).

No, this isn't another "what would you buy and dry store", but has anyone here thought of / actually own a car that they intend to keep until it is (hopefully) a classic vehicle?
It wasn't my intention to own a "classic" car I just loved BMW E30's so I bought one 10 years ago. Use it as my every day car, couldn't find anything to replace it with so its still with me. At 20 years old its probably a modern classic and I can take it to classic car shows if I want, Bromley Pagent a couple of times.

My Elise is insured on what they call a future classic insurance policy but not sure how long I will keep it.
Me too - bought this years ago - used it as daily driver for many years and no just use it in the summer. Lots of other cars have come and gone including every other generation of 3 series tourings and M3s. Couldn't bear to part with this though - even though its pretty much worthless.

Isn't a really tidy 6-pot E30 worth reasonable money? - I know they're not rapidly appreciating classics, but you have to part with a good few grand to get a nice one. Especially the Touring.

I've often looked at the 318iS, but they offer really poor value, as they appear to be quite sought after.

Mine's a 325i touring (above) and although pretty much immaculate, i'd have thought £2k tops...
