Got no pictures of it over 100k because immediatly after taking this the car rusted, the wheels fell off, the gearbox exploded, a piston came out the engine and the nearside sidelight bulb went.

I was gutted to miss the 100,000 mile mark click up on my Mk5 Golf GTI last weekend...

I noticed it was at around 99,987 and then when I remembered to look again it was on 100,038!

Maybe my Asperger's isn't as bad as I thought?

Of course I did, but mileometer is in a separate data panel to the speedo.

All three of my cars have over 100k.
Defender 146k
Smart 129k
Saab 115k

Most I've had in a car yet was Volvo S70 T5 - sold it with 221k and Audi A8 4.2Q Sport - sold with 212k. Bothe these were still running perfectly at the time of sale - I just fancied something different!

Did just the same in my wife's Freelander last week, although it was only on 100,008 when I looked. Easy to do though as it either shows the trip mileage or total, not both and we usually have it on trip.

Volvo V40 2.0T now on 225,000-ish. I also have a MK2 GTi <edit - Golf> on just over 175,000 which should carry on if I can find the time to get it back on the road..

I bought a new Lancia Thema Turbo in 1988. Did well over 100,000 miles in it & it never missed a beat.
Didn't go rusty either!
Great car in its day.

200,000 miles on the most reliable car I ever owned - a 1999 Vectra 2.0 DTi 16v:

On the day I sold it to my then brother in law in 2011 for £500 - the car was immaculate in every way:

There's something very sad about that.
