My Scenic's just tipped over the 100,000 mile mark, although shortly after doing so the instrument panel died. One new panel later and the car says it's done 130 miles so far!
For sale: Renault Scenic, very low mileage etc.... someone will snap it up smile

My recently sold T5-R had passed 250,000 and was pushing towards 260,000 but it had to go. The V70 T5 that ran alongside it arrived in my care in February with 167,000 miles and we're currently on 185,000... another couple of months and it should have hit the 20k a year target. Not bad given I work a mile from the house!

Some mega milers on here for sure. In a past job I was doing 50 - 60k miles per annum so a new car would knock up over a 100k within 2 years no probs.

I now have a daily driver which is 15 years old and at 136k and being a Honda it's going great! smile

My 2005 Clio 182 is currently on 121,800 (ish) and still gets put on track when I have the spare cash.

106 Rallye - 136k miles (many headgaskets! Still flies though!)
Clio 182 FF - 112k miles, original clutch, used as my daily, all good...

I had a 306 Turbo Diesel that wouldn't die, I finally sold it at 280k miles...

Would people buy exotic cars with 100k plus on them ?

Ie 996 TT
Ferrari etc?

Or are these driven hard and worn out?
Seen this a while ago on rennlist, 996tt with 300,000 and no problems!
I hope that's not oil pressure at the bottom?

Good thread!
I got my 1.0 litre 4-speed Citroen Ax to 126,000 miles. It would have gone further but needed a new clutch and I didn't feel safe making 220 mile motorway trips in it any more.

1996 Defender 110 presently at 256000 miles, photo taken in July when it had just cracked 250,000 miles:

My A8 was on 177,000 miles until some tomfool drove into the back of it on the M40 a couple of weeks ago - I suspect that's a write off. Shame as I really had hoped to get it to over 250K.

Wife's Subaru Legacy is now of 172,000. Engine still wonderfully strong - everything else on it rapidly falling apart.

This had 312,000 kms on the clock when I sold it a few years ago and was still immaculate. Lord only knows where it has got to now:

Also used to have a B-reg Golf GTI which had 287,000 miles on the clock at the point when I sold it.

Last car - Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 sold at 159000 miles
car before - Saxo diesel sold at 185000 miles

Both were still going strong. Current car still below 100k but plan to go past 200k with it.

100k miles is a big thing? Seriously? That's barely 160k km. I know it's a big round number but that's not that much. On the continent average diesel will clock that up in 3-4 years.
Past 250k km and into 300k+ km (so over 150-190k miles) is what you'd call a high milers club IMO.

This is my contribution to this thread. 2001 Mazda 323 1.6 Gxi, owned by my parents from new, I took ownership @ 46k miles, and she's still trooping (well actually off the road right now whilst I learn to weld - she'll be back!).

This was obviously on a private course ;-)

My 320d E90 has 145k on it now and i intend to keep hold of it for a while yet, it's had a new turbo but nothing else major other than that.

Bro in law had a 53 plate avensis that had done 400k as a taxi. When he got rid it was still on the road, albeit not as a taxi anymore.

Triggers broom-esque, 13 owner 1991 900 Turbo here...

Changed the engine in my ownership (old one very tired) - current bottom end has done 190k. The factory honing marks were perfect when I stripped it so didn't touch the rings / cylinders. Changed the bearings and put a head from a 250k 9000 2.3T on it - valve train sounds spot on having cleaned only the original lifters out. Gearbox on ???k miles (not original), clocks have done 167k but I have no idea how far the shell has been :P

I love it though. Bought with first pay cheque from first proper job out of uni 5 years ago. Still a way to go with it, but it's a dream to drive.

Other car is a 1992 Panda - bought with 34k, now on 57k. Needed a few oil seal / wheel bearing / brake-esque jobs doing lately, but mechanically it's a peach. The 999cc Fiat FIRE engine is bloomin' hilarious fun.

Anyway, here's mine:

1999 BMW 328i, just after doing 450 miles on one tank, in luxury too. Great car and will keep going long after I've finished with her!
[/quote]

Mine's on 145k and still feels like it has more bhp than BMW quoted for it when new. You must have a delicate right foot to get 450 miles out of a tank; I rarely see more than 350 despite a lot of motorway use.

Is it maybe a 500E that has been retrospectively facelifted given it is on a K prefix?

Back in 1992 i had a brand new Ford Escort Diesel company van, In 18 months i clocked up 115,000 miles, passed it over to a work collegue, he had it for 3000 miles before it went pop. It was in the garage for servicing every 6 weeks, till my boss decided that was too often and went against Fords recommended service intervals at 80,000 miles, and it then went in every 6 months. It couldn't understand why it went pop. I was surprised it did 110,000 miles on the rear tyres though. woohoo
