My little 1.5Dci van. Been to and from mid France and 1000's of miles round Reading where it resides. Makes a meal out of moving its own weight but doesn't miss a beat - lovely little thing!

My trips into the 100k club haven't gone well so far.
2006 bmw 120d msport.. turbo failed at 95k, dmf was on its way out, needed shocks and springs, parking sensors failed at 90k too.
Mazda 6 diesel. Gear box failed at 110k
Clio 172 cup. Ran great up to 110k. Now missfires and is looking shabby.

It's all normal stuff once you pile on the miles. Our 11 year old E91 325i Touring is now approaching 150,000. Almost zero depreciation as it's worth fk all! but we've spent a total of £2500 this year as stuff has gone wrong and needed replacing with age and mileage. In addition to a big service and a couple of tyres, I've replaced all the suspension and steering bushes this year, all 6 coil packs have been changed and we've had a steering rack and pump fail.

Once you're into that sort of expenditure it seems mad to sell it and let the new owner have the advantage of all that love, care and attention. But if you want to enjoy a high mileage car, in exchange for very low depreciation, you will have some bills. However I've worked out this year it would have been cheaper to have leased a brand new Golf!

My Seat Leon Cupra R is the highest mileage car I have ever owned at 113k miles, I took a chance on it as I won it on an eBay auction back in Feb this year on 104k. Just had it serviced and my mates garage gave the engine decontamination treatment which has made it pick u better at lower rpm..

Old school E39 with some sort of updated steering wheel. Six cyclinder petrol, judging by the idle speed and red-line. 528i?

The shed-u-like Mondeo turned up 123456 miles as I arrived at the Colchester site this morning. I had to do 2 laps of the industrial estate to get it there. Pics follow. I also saw 123321 on the way down, which was entertaining since at the time I was having a miserable time doing 0 mph on the A14.

Since my incident last December, my Z4MC is no longer my daily driver (the less said about the accident repair company the better)

The Z4MC is now only up to 150k miles, but the daily driver/banger (a 147 JTD 8v Lusso) is now on 140,000 miles - and still returning over 50mpg. For less than £1k, it's simply not worth fixing anything major that goes wrong.

We had this one at work a few months ago. It's a 2008 Mondeo estate that was used as an airport taxi on 556k! Drove surprisingly well but the bodywork was horrendous!

In comparison, my 1995 306 D Turbo is only just run in at 143k! It was on 101k when I bought it two years ago. Just passed its MOT so should have it for at least another year!

That Mondeo... wow. I should probably mention Matt Farah's Lexus LS400, which is now heading towards a million miles after a gearbox rebuild - it went pop at (if I remember correctly) 922,000 miles.
