, when someone mentions NSX i will always think of these.
I will think of 8000rpm drive byshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq-zx1ZwgRU
"This hybrid system will send power to all four wheels in a system known to Honda as SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive). What we don't know is whether this will position the in-wheel motors in the front or back, but the mid-mounted V6 does provide options."
Am I misunderstanding this ? It's awd (i.e. 4wd) with the mid-mounted V6 going to the back (obviously) and the two electric motors in-wheel at the front. And last I heard, there's also another electric motor providing extra power to the back. Somewhat like the upcoming Acura RLX (luxury saloon) drivetrain positioned the other way-around. Here's the concept video for the NSX2 showing the proposed drivetrain off (skip to just before 1 min in if you want to fast-forward to the drivetrain rendering bit).
By the way, I think it looks superb. Clean and tight. After an initial bit of doubt I quite like the wheels too (spokes right up to the edge are in vogue at the moment, e.g. the facelifted CRZ).

No.....just no.
Why not? Anything that keeps UK workers in jobs is a good thing in my book. The monkey's in Swindon that assemble Civic's and Jazz's cannot be trusted to build a supercar.
Think that's a fantastic looking car.
If it was called the Honda SX or something I'd just accept it was good... but I can't help feeling a little disappointed because it doesn't bare any resemblance at all to the NSX (needs to be longer in th back for this). I suppose in time this will become forgotten.

IMO, Its time to get behind UK manufacturing
Which is why you have an MX5. Itsallicanafford said:
..so you have had one UK built Honda and you are Condemning the whole plant...just to balance that up, we have also had one UK built Honda (a civic), no problems at all after 4 years...these plants are vital to the economy of the region and supply direct and indirect jobs for 1000's. At a time when jobs are being lost (500 in southampton at Ford to be announched today), this sort of comment doesn't help or tommorrow it could be somewhere nearer the 4000 that are going at Ford in Belgium. IMO, Its time to get behind UK manufacturing, not slag it off based upon a single car.
Hear hear.I know I'm biased as I'm one of those Swindon based "monkeys" but approx 4,000 people rely on their jobs at Honda to keep their family larder stocked with banannas.
Broad, sweeping, insulting generalizations by ignorant tw"ts dont really help
There has been a noticeable increase in QC issues at Honda generally - the last S2000s out of Suzaka being the worst example.
It may be insignificant in relation to some other brands' issues, but they need to get a grip on it.
Failing quality AND dreadfully grey porridge, mojo-free products is a recipe for disaster.

Everyone here is interested in high performance cars but they have a smaller market than other cars.It may be insignificant in relation to some other brands' issues, but they need to get a grip on it.

The grey porridge ( ) is what keeps the various companies alive.

Honda of the UK lost me as a customer forever after the blatant lies and utter contempt shown to the enthusiast market when the EP3 was launched.
Jap built, JDM Hondas are far, far superior to the crap that the monkeys at Swindon churn out.
I'll stick to my Jap built, JDM DC5 rather than waste money on mediocrity from these shores.
