A black 1.6 with aftermarket wheels. Just like my 2nd car, H86 MDU. I LOVED that car!

Can't go wrong at that. I bought a 1.9 last Christmas for £1300. Bit of a shed but never let me down in about 5,000 miles of summer motoring till the MOT expired. Cheap fun motoring.

good shed, always fancied the 1.6 over the 1.9 for some reason.

A good Shed of the week.
I'm not a fan of hot hatches, yet love the 205 GTI. It is already a classic; I'm sure it will become very sought after in time.

Apologies on the advert copy SNAFU everyone; link and pics were correct but, as spotted, the copy was from another ad of a SORN'd car our correspondent had been looking at.

All square now.

Cheers!

Hot Hatch ??? pah - for £995 this could run rings round a Pug 205GTI and it'll do 40 mpg on the motorway ... soapbox

Thank goodness that I'm not the first one on here that doesn't get the hot-hatch thing. It's all a bit new-school, Craig David, tight T-shirt, cheap aftershave.

Very tempted by a cheap 'evo' car at the moment!

SHED back to FORM, officially. smile

Prime example of how you on your island get all the good stuff cheaper
because of rhd. Would be 3 times the price over here.

GREAT little cars. But I fxcked up buying the right one when they
had their lowest phase. And I won't run behind the market, now.
No I won't,... will I?

Cheers, Martin 480 Turbo

Yes - the benefit of a small, insular market.

Get the original pepperpots back on her and she'll be all good. I had both 1.6 and 1.9 back in the day and the 1.9 is the better car but no one can accuse the 1.6 of not being a great.
