The Aston DBS used Hillman Hunter rear lights. the Virage used VW Scirocco rears and Audi 80 fronts. And Citroen CX door mirrors. These were also used by the Peter Stephens Lotus Esprit and the Jaguar XJ220.
Early discoveries used Sherpa van front lights, not rears, which were Maestro van units as has been said already.

Yep, and the first Morgan Aero cars had new Beetle headlights, swapped over. The facelift used new Mini headlights, swapped over.

Indicators on the front are military sourced.
All those round lights, front or rear are just Hella units.
They are not sourced from the military, they are Hella units.
Just so happens that the military use them,so do bus, crane, aircraft, commercial vehicle and trailer manufacturers.

Alpine GTA with the Lotus Elan and the Alpine A610 with the Cizeta V16T

Apart from the lenses the basic lights are the same, and are interchangeable.

I believe the rear lights from the Caterham 7 are essentially trailer lights.

I had originally another photo of a Beaufighter which is just an updated 412, but then realised the same lights were on the first photo so didn't post the extra photo but didn't change the text. Only difference is the headlights and you can't see them wink
