RE: Chevy to sell Hot Wheels Camaro
Discussion
How do British car owners deal with LHD when making a right turn at a light when there's another car directly opposite also making a right ? Or do you lot not really have a lot of those?
I drove a TVR over here once and its often hard enough to see oncoming traffic at traffic lights when you're sitting on the left side of the car let alone the right! Friends of mine with R33s and such just wait for the light to go yellow and then turn (thus annoying everyone queuing behind them but oh well)
I'd imagine it'd be a great piece of theater to drive such a beast on British roads but I'd personally feel depressed driving such a cheerfully-dispositioned car considering the dismal lack of sun most of the UK gets. Dour silver Audis or Range Rovers suit the UK weather a lot better imo

1. UK... you guys drive on the "wrong" side, as they're only available in LHD. Puts of lots of people IMO.
.
Have you been putting Mandarine on your waffles? .
We drive on the correct side of the road as laid down by 1000 years of chivalric code. It's not our problem that some brash colonials and mainlanders lack civilised etiquette.
Civilised, you said?
Its hard here to see cars that will be going straight when you're waiting to turn left, I just figured the same was true in the UK but turning right instead. The queue of cars in the opposite direction (facing you that is) waiting to make a left obscures cars going straight through and even more so if you were driving a RHD car in America and thus sitting on the RH side of the car.
Figured the same would be true (but just the reverse) in the UK. I know that 4-way traffic lights aren't as common as roundabouts there but the 4 way light has started to become more popular.

makes overtaking entertaining as well
Sitting on the 'wrong side' actually does make overtaking entertaining... and safer in certain situations. i.e. I'm sure we've all been stuck at one point behind a lorry/truck on a twisty road. Imagine a soft, long left hander in a RHD car, open view on the road... you could be stuck for miles with an obstructed view from the lorry/truck. Imagine that same situation in a LHD car, or the bend the other way round in a RHD car... A lot easier as you can see past the lorry/truck makes overtaking entertaining as well
