Count me right in, the 456 is my other favourite Italian "ugly sister"

Met a chap at Italian car day, who moved from 166 to a maserati QP.
For me the only way to get a better interior in a four door car.

Anyone find something close and i'll get one (other than that, saving for my QP).
There's another way:

I agree.
Not many pick the 456 first though, and 4 seater Ferrari are notoriously unloved, by trade and punters. Maybe ugly sister was the wrong choice.

Fab car that i have owned for the past 5 years. Had the occasional issue with it but what else looks as good. Mine is a V6 in Volcano Black with beige/light tan leather. No matter where I go in the car it always starts a conversation along the lines of "I love Alfa Romeo's but have never had the guts to buy one" Enough said.

When I look out of the window I see this...

There is nothing out there that comes close for the money at the moment imho.

Yes, at least the wait for the AA will be comfortable and stylish.

Have to agree here. The 456 is a true beauty, I would adore one. What I like is that it looks crap in standard Ferrari red- clearly the mark of a classy automobile!

Similarly stunning in a 'love of the underdog' sort of way. Can't explain why I want one of these so badly. Brings an all new meaning to the word 'understated'...

Can anybody comment on whether or not they look as awkward in the flesh as they do in photos?
It's actually not that bad to look at, I don't think - but the wheels don't do it any favours - they may well be OEM but they look like they were taken from a rack of existing aftermarket options rather than carefully considered to fit the strong angles inherent in the car. Something along the lines of these Fiat Coupé wheels would be far more appropriate IMO...

Fiat Coupe wheels have been known to break on the spokes.

Nah, think Fiat Coupe wheels would look a bit low-rent on the Mazzer!

not ACTUAL fiat coupé wheels as such, my point was that the Fiat coupé wheels are designed so the angles match the angle of the wheel arch etc so the wheel is harmonious with the car as a whole. Something similar to a Fiat coupé wheel would match the line of the rear arch and make the whole car seem more cohesive.
