This twice

May as well have called it the VXR knobjockey
The problem is nobody knows who Adam Opel is/was, he's hardly a household name. They should have called it something obscure and quirky like 'A-O'. Or summat.

Euuuech.

Vauxhall have been making some decent looking cars for the last few years (especially after finally ditching that googfy 'V' grille) but this looks unbelievably naff.

And it has a ridiculous name too.

So Mr Ferrari gets the Enzo, a state of the art supercar, and Mr Opel gets a noddy car. Now THAT's how to honour your founding father.

Is it me or is £12k steep for an entry level model vauxhall? That said the new KA starts from £8k, twingo £10k, Up/citi go £8k, 107/aygo/C1 £7k, fiat 500 £10k... All before "discounts" etc of course

Unless its the "vxr" version thats £12k? it's already lost before it starts.

Yeh, with your back to it, in the thick fog, wearing a welders mask, the other-side of a humpback bridge after being stabbed in both eyes with a biro it does have a tiny resemblance.

Do Vauxhall actually charge their RRP's when people go into dealers to buy cars, or do they always do good deals? I remember when my sister was looking at new cars, and we looked at prices for Vauxhall Corsa's on the Vauxhall site - and saw the list price - and immediately looked elsewhere because they were so high.

Doesn't this damage Vauxhall as most people will just see the prices and walk away?
They will do deals when I enquired about the Insignia, told them how much I had to spend what model, spec i wanted, they pretty much said yes, £6k off of list price without even really pushing so yes they will be open to price movement.
