do you think the owner gives a st what you think?
Of course he does! He wouldn't have spent the cash on a crap personalised plate if he didn't.

Not recently, far from it in fact, but I did see PEN15 on a red Merc 190 about 20 years ago :-)
Ex bike racer truck racer and current moto gp commentator Steve Parrish has had that for years .

Do you assume he also spent cash on a 911 Turbo just to impress you? That seems pretty conceited.

I don't get the hate for plates. Why get so worked up if you don't like them? I don't like people carriers, but feel free, i'll not deride you for having one.

Anyways, i really want the plate 6000 SUX. That plate would even make a prius cool.

It's a lovely car, but what the hell is the number plate supposed to be???
Really?

If you had to guess, what do think it's supposed to be?

p.s. Isn't there a huge thread on this already?

For me, it's not hating the plate itself. If someone wants to put a personal plate on their car, that's fine. I do have a problem with people who butcher their plates, mis-space them or alter the letters/numbers to make them almost illegible. Especially when it's on a nice prestige car - if they can afford the car, surely they can afford a better plate? Or is it a way of saying 'look at me, I've got money and I'm a rebel'?

A dyslexic's view of the word Porsche. I can't imagine why a non-dyslexic would want to put Peosche on their Porsche. It just looks stupid.

Whilst badly spaced/butchered plates are an eyesore, I'd imagine SOME of them have been bought as presents from relatives etc. And the owner probably feels obliged to display them, or am I just getting soft?
