I know that the 08 plate has been kept but it looks pretty standard to me?
Spacing fail.
He one on the left looks perfectly legal to me but the "cherished" one looks wrong but I can't figure out why it's been done? confused
Hannah?
A blind dyslexic man running for his life would not make Hannah out of that!
Well the bloke is a member on here, I will ask.

I'd suggest you are either exaggerating or being purposely obtuse. The vast majority of people can tell straight away that reads Hannah.

Whilst I agree that people who put mis-represent characters through screws and illegal fonts are in the wrong, I don't really understand those getting all purple faced because someone has put a space where they shouldn't.

If someone has the plate 'F1' instead of 'F 1', do they have a crappy personalised plate?

As long as the correct font and character sizing is used so that the plate can be picked up by ANPR, I think it is a non-issue if somebody has put a space where they shouldn't. Technically it is illegal, but so is doing over 70mph on the motorway.

Put me in 'minority' then, I had no idea either of those we're even 'private' plates, at first glance though I didn't even realise they weren't both the same model car, I just thought it was like one of my neighbours that have two identical model and colour cars with consecutive registered numbers.
How on earth do you get Hannah from HA08NAH, where's the 'o' or the 'b' in Hannah? No amount of dodgy font or screw heads are going to turn 08 in to N, sorry whoevers it is but I hope it was cheap I just see an 08 Audi when I see it. rotate

Right, and PH doesn't condone speeding either, does it?

No one is getting 'purple faced' the thread title is 'crappy personalised plates' and that refers to number plates that have been altered to read something OTHER than what they would when displayed correctly

Another example.

A13 MMA - good plate if your name is Micheal Malcom Atkins
A1 3MMA - a crap plate even if your name is Emma and you drive an audi A1

Both the same plate, but easy to make it crappy.

^^ Is correct, it's a thread for that sort of thing and is clearly marked as such so is easy to ignore.

Let's move on smile

Just a wee word of advice. Whilst you may not like those MMA plates, never ever point this out to anyone in real life.
If you don't know why try googling MMA.

Lol.

Saw P888 EBE pushed close together on a Yaris the other night. Think I know what they were trying to achieve (Phoebe) but in all fairness I think the only ones that work like that are if you get the actual name or word (ANN, PAT, SIGHT) There is a London based plumbing company that have plates like Lav or Loo seemingly on every van they have. Initials are ok, as would be something genuinely interesting like one letter & one or two numbers.

I'm not too bothered if a plate is wrongly spaced as I sometimes think, should I need to, I would remember the word easier than the actual plate in the event of incident.

My mate Roger has ROG as his plate but me being me I just see a non existant 'word' that rhymes with Log!!

Guess I should confess that ROG aside I know people who have plates that do all I find acceptable!!

Er another minority here - I had no clue what that was supposed to be about. Not that it matters I guess. Your point about speeding vs spacing is well made except insofar as I don't carry around a big plate that says "I'm speeding" when I do it - but I get that it's a bit hypocritical on my part to moan about illegal plates then do illegal stuff myself :-)

Ah I'm surprised someone hasn't said anything about the spacing.
Reason why I put it up as when it came into the office it looks mis-spaced. However, it's the legal 33mm gap between the 1 and the L, and then the others have 11mm gaps between them - very deceptive. The font is Highline which is absolutely legal too. Lettering may look small due to being on a larger rear sized plate.
