Stolen from the classic car forum, to show how chavvery can ruin even a classic car (the plate itself may actually be original, issued in 1963). Grrrr!
Not sure what you meant about the plate, are you referring to the "C", which was 65?

But the rest of the plate wouldn't fit in with the system in use at the time, would it? Nice car all,the same.

Neither 'cartell.ie' nor 'DVLA' return any search results for the registration mark "805 SC". Does this mean that someone is making plates up as they please? Or are the databases in some way incomplete?

"12 POT" on the other hand, is confirmed by the DVLA site as belonging to a blue 4 litre Lamborghini, first registered in 1977 and taxed/MOT'd until April 2015, so the plate on the Series 3 Espada looks to be a good 'un.

The plate does fit the system in use at the time - 805 SC was issued in 1963, and the car is roughly that year. Most 'reverse' single and double letters were issued in the late 50's / early 60s. Doesn't explain why it's not on the databases though - although badly spaced it looks clearly to be 805 SC?

Somewhat similar to below, I'm sure I've seen '51D', slightly miss-spaced, a few times in the last year and probably last time about a month ago. Obviously quite a valuable registration to the right person, and looked legible when I saw it.

However, I can't find the details online on the usual sites? I don't know what alternative combination it could be, I think it was on a Mercedes.

Was '51 D' issued?

Yes, 51 D was issued by Kent in 1964.

HS02 NOT.

Ordinarily, I don't notice these types of plates.

However, he was driving like an utter b3llend through Amersham in a mini hearse, I mean clubman.

I guess he is against HS2 or something.
