I did a quick count at our local high school.
Approx 10% of vehicles passing on the main road had personal plates.
Of those about 1-2% were illegal.

I remember seeing for sale S60 BEY

Spaced S6 OBEY

Absolutely toe curlingly cringeworthy, especially as I had an S6 at the time, a nice car, but certainly not 'OBEYABLE' rofl

It still amazes me that people are under the impression that it looks good, one for the bad parking thread too but I'm not sad enough to post in that one....

FFS, how do people with the wherewithal to end up with the money to buy a lovely thing like an R8 be so retarded to ruin it with that aberration ?
I think doing it on a nice car makes it infinitely worse. If its on some chavved up Corsa then fine, its just some idiot kid who doesn't know any better. But when its on a £60k range rover or a ferrari it just leaves me wondering how someone like that ended up affording it in the first place.
Drug dealing? Lotto win? Inheritance from misguided relative?
To name but three! Not every one who has capital worked for thst czpital. Most of PH may (I said MAY) have done so or so the contributors would prefer to think, but in reality I think something like 1 in 100 millionaires is a pools/ lottery etc winners. In reality being wealthy is not necessarily a reflection of those individuals having been clever or worked hard. Just old fashioned luck of the draw. Best of luck to them I am quite happy barely solvent but with a lot of toys. My destiny I think.
Yeah, was expecting some "its their money" stuff about that comment I made but didn't get any biggrin

I see stuff like that any I don't think successful, the odd one is a bit of fun or amusing but otherwise it does look a bit lottery winner, inheritance, finance or someone engaged in Cash for Crash, PPI claims or some other nefarious illegal or on the edge of legal pursuit, might be me being jealous or prejudiced but I see any other example of say and R8 and I just think cool, I would like one of those, fair play but the crappy plates just cheapen a nice car, I am not into plates but a decent, unmolested one is fine.

I spotted "W15E LO" on the way down to Portsmouth today. I think it was on a Disco/RR but I'm not sure.

Wisdom, I suspect, was not this owner's strong suit wink

Perfectly good plate....kept the 5 resisting the temptation to chavplate to an S.....dare I say it, unlike the increasing number of CAC (crappy Audi chavplate) offenders wasting our roadspace as evidenced by this thread........hehe
