It is slightly amusing that people that can afford £1m+ cars still buy cheaper plates and 'bodge' them, rather than spending a few £ more on a tasteful, minimal initials plate.

Not slagging anyone off, I just find it a bit curious..

Unfortunately the means to acquire expensive cars and the subtle good taste that's required to really appreciate and value them are rarely seen together.

This first one's a repost, because I can't believe that no one commented on it's ghastliness the first time round:

This second one's from creepy Crawley on Tuesday. I honestly have no idea what it's supposed to say. Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

Is this a witty and thoughtful nod-and-a-wink to the origins of the "mini" brand? No, I thought not.

I'm guessing it's because apart from the slight separation of the N and the J, it's not that horrific. At least, no-one's going to mistake the plate for anything different. The really appalling ones are where you look at them and say "hang on, what does that plate actually read"?

Also this one - H14 NRV spaced to read H IAN RV. Very classy Ian - Your plate is almost as crap as your driving / lane discipline on The Meadows roundabout was this afternoon biggrin

I saw that. I'm sure it's a made up plate just for the programme, to fit in with the East End/Essex storyline. I was expecting more Range Rover Sports. Maybe LR wouldn't let them use them due to the drug connotations?
