It may well be. Or not. But I do not see why people should be allowed to make up their own registrations when I have gone to all the trouble (and expense) of actually purchasing a "real" one that suits my requirements.

I always like the ones that have to have the full name underneath to explain their frankly ludicrous plates.

Hence things like ' D 14NTO' with 'Ian Davies' in little letters at the bottom of the plate, just in case you were walking past and wondered who owns the car.

Hey everyone look!, it's Ian Davies and he's got personal plates on his car!

I think you should forward that picture to the DVLA and hopefully they will revoke the plate to teach them a lesson

That's about as cool as an anal fistula.
How do you know that's 'not cool'? Could be year of birth and initials for all you know. smile

Nope, better things to spend money on than the right to display a few letters & numbers! Never bought a plate never will I suspect.

Not recently, far from it in fact, but I did see PEN15 on a red Merc 190 about 20 years ago :-)
Pretty sure a guy in silverstone owns that plate now, i am 99% sure it used to be on an RS6 estate when i used to drink at the white horse.

So you think it is acceptable in that last example for somebody to change their plate that should read VV to a W without any repercussion?

I have enough of a life to not give a fook one way or another,
and I certainly would not entertain "whistle blowing" about it.

Until they crash into you, drive off and you report them by their registration number only to find out it does not exist!

I'm not bothered for a bit of mis-spacing but a blatant change of letters is not on, you might as well put whatever the hell you like on a plate.
