L44 MEN spaced as "L 44MEN" on a fairly normal 2l Diesel Passat CC.

Only worth mentioning as it would look so much better legally spaced, and I have no idea what "44MEN" is supposed to spell anyway.

Such plates may not offend you however they are illegal OTR. For that reason the posting on here seems entirely correct to me.

I disagree - that plate (apart from being illegal) looks like a bag of ste tied up in the middle. It's also apparent that the no doubt orange-faced owner got fed up with their X3....car-related plates on the wrong car are always a fail.
