You say you are "trying to find out the registration of this bike", but then you say it's KRH 926 - what exactly are you trying to find out? Because of the ste way the data is held by DVLA, unless you know exactly how it appears on the V5c (and sometimes not even then) it won't come up on a vehicle enquiry. Vincent doesn't appear on howmanyleft - but there obviously are some still around; it's just a facet of the stupid and useless way DVLA holds and treats the data.
The website will tell you the year of first registration with only reg and make, don't need V5 details, just tried my own ref.

What I was interested was the original reg date of the Vincent, but that make doesn't seem to be on DVLA's list.

I was just curious what year the bike was.

What I meant was, you need the make exactly as it appears on the V5c. It's easy for commons stuff that's on the list , but for example, neither the make or model of two of my cars is on the list at all - however if I enter them exactly as printed on the V5c the details come up. Evidently, it's not just "Vincent" on that bike's V5c

Enter the registration number into here first:

http://www.cartell.ie

That will give the make, presumably in DVLA-friendly format.

That's cracked it, says it's an HRD METEOR, no mention of Vincent, back to the DVLA site, entered make as HRD METEOR, and showed all I need know, it's an 1940 Meteor, thanks guys.

Nope, despite what you think he may (or may not) be trying to suggest, that plate does not belong in this thread. Its 100% legal.
yes This thread is for crap spacing and words trying to say something they actually don't. The one on the Aston matches neither of those criteria despite your view on the plate itself smile
And you pair are making the rules now?

I'm with Doshy on this one. If it looks crap, and it makes me think of this thread, it gets posted. Legal or otherwise.

Perhaps you might turn your thread-policing attentions to the 'other' thread. The one where we're meant to put the "real good" plates, but seems, lately, to have been hijacked by many plates that very much belong in here.
Crappy or not is just a matter of opinion. Legal or not is a actual matter of fact.

Dug this out from my phone, taken ages and ages ago... if you zoom in you can just about make out the Pizza Hut logo at the bottom of the plate.

The driver either owns a bunch of franchises, or just really fking like Pizza Hut.

G13 GYM spaced to read GB GYM on a Jaguar driven by a guy who looked like a bit of a gym addicted meathead.

AM11 TBA with both 1's crammed togather and spaced to read AMIT BA on a Vauxhall Zafira taxi.

So it's really M488 UTT, can't understand why it's run together and in the really crappy font either.

And probably a full stop after the M

It's supposed to be M. Abbott.

Only it isn't. It's just an appalling mess.

Also MR 51GNH in Glasgow today. Possibly Mr Singh's dyslexic brother.

Agree entirely that a plate doesn't have to have been badly spaced/butchered to be crap. I think the spy one is cack personally. But then again, I don't 'get' personal plates anyway, I prefer to wear the age of my cars with pride.
