Not so sure. I know the Crappy Purists will quite rightly condemn such a display, but I enjoy seeing this type of misrepresentation. But that's just me living life on the edge.

E9 1ANS

On the M9 the other day. It was stopped on the hard shoulder when I was making my return journey. Perhaps the plate gods had taken some action hehe

I don't see the problem with this, other than you're ability to post photos the right way up.

Care to explain? (either why there's something illegal or whatever about the plate or why you felt so motivated as to take a photograph of someone's car and post it on the internet)
I would suggest that this thread should not be taken so seriously, apart from the law breaking factor.
We are just laughing at other peoples vanity, insecurity and lack of self esteem by having a personal, or other types of chavplate.

Yep, that's the key for me. Whatever you think about a numberplate is just an opinion, and opinions are like aholes - everybody has one and nobody (hopefully) really likes anybody elses. It's only when you cross the legal line that any random opinion consolidates into fact. That crossing is a wide enough line in the sand backed up by law that hoops have to be jumped through to break for anybody to quite reasonably call Chavplate.

If somebody chooses to display a Chavplate then it's obvious they are also choosing to break the law. But if they are prepared to do that for nothing more than their vanity, insecurity or lack of self esteem then it's hardly surprising assumptions are made about Chavplaters.

Guily as charged on that one... smile

To illustrate, IMHO, the difference between "Crappy" and "not brilliant, but not crappy either" plates, two from a short trip this morning...

H 5UE H - Utter dog toffee. On a Peugeot 206 'Allure' CC, driven by a large older fella with white hair/beard. Presumably it was '5UE' in the passenger seat, looking for all the world like a Gloria Hunniford clone.
SUE 113G - Cool, if your name is Sue, because it actually spells the name, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't make it onto the "Real Good" thread either. (Again, IMHO). Seen on a Vauxhall Corsa.

M6 CYX

The plate might not be displayed in this format for long, however, as the driver had just been having a chat with these guys after a blue-light 'Stop'
