I don't think it's an actual numberplate at all.

I was wondering whether the "K" could actually be a bodged "R" judging by the shape at the top?

On a pre LCI E60 520d SE (not M) with Gangsta! tints.
This needs more investigation.

I don't think it's an actual numberplate at all.
I'm baffled too - but it was driving down Upper Street in Islington bold as brass.

A dealer allowed me to photograph a car as long as one of his blokes drove it. It went fitted with one of the owner's cherished plates - to which it was not entitled - but with trade plates lying flat inside the windscreens front and back. As I was setting up a picture a copper stopped to enquire what we thought we were doing. The mechanic told him and off he went. How much was that's-all-right-and-legal and how much was I-can't-be-getting-involved-with-all-that I don't know. Now when I see a really unlikely plate I wonder if there are trade plates lurking discreetly inside the car.

Couple more. The Volvo should also go in the knob thread because he drove like the fat bald angry man he was, speeding, tailgating and acting like a bell end, and despite all that I still beat him to where our paths diverted.

Saw this on the TV coverage of the BBC GP qualifying. You'd think Eddie Jordan could afford a decent plate rather than butchering a NI one.
He can and that's it, in his eyes that's the plate he wants.

The funniest thing amongst all the rabid nonsense on this thread is the "That's a good car ruined" quip.
Ruined for who FFS? Some sad stranger with camera phone and an internet connection? If somebody finds a plate they like, buys it and then fits it on their car they obviously feel comfortable with it, they are happy, what in the world would make you think they have ruined their car?

Nobody cares what you think.

And don't bother with the usual "flouting the law" and "displaying selfishness" crap unless you've never exceeded a speed limit in your life.
Woahhhh br d

1)I don't think I mentioned any car being ruined?
2) If you don't care what I think, why comment?
3) who's the one with rabid response?

People in glasshouses throwing stones etc
And the point here is that it's a crap NI plate being made to look like a 2x2. Stuff the illegality, that's just sad, and particularly so when you know the owner could easily afford the real deal. And I do tend to agree with 1, 2, 3 above...
