You have to admit, though, that "FA57 OAP" on a disabled badge toting Jaguar XKR-R is pretty rad. I get it anyway

Respect.
Yeah, it's a good one, self deprecating humour is always the mark of someone who does not take themselves too seriously.

That would actually be a half-decent stab at a good plate if they didn't space it in such a way that renders the intended 'word' mis-spaced.

Yesterday on the M3 I saw a car with the plate "LE06 AUG" which had been spaced as "LE0 6 AUG"

I can only assume that the car has been strapped to a rocket today and is being fired into Low Earth Orbit.

Or it could be something to do with Astrology, I guess. smile

I can confirm that "Leo" is also a first name - perhaps the owner of that car has that name and was born on 6 August? .
A fair point. smile

Although my geek side likes to think that the owner has long had a dream of getting into space and that it is being realised today. biggrin

Or more simple, born on 6th August, Star sign would be Leo.
And so we come full circle to my initial post. tongue out
Perhaps his name is Leo and he was born on the 6th August, making his star sign Leo too, which is why his parents called him Leo

and he's going into a low earth orbit

A 2O VW on a silver 2006 VW Caravelle.

According to DVLA, it's being used without an MOT - it expired on the 11th Feb this year, suspiciously only 10 days after it was taxed. It should read 'A2 OVW'.

Either way - did anyone wish him happy birthday yesterday?

From a copy of Fast Ford I was reading today:

SOS ASBO / SO54 SBO on a Focus ST.
GARY A created from G13 RYA with an interesting use of spacing and coloured caps.
MUM'S BOY created from MUM 580Y and utilising a black cap for the apostrophe.

And 2 from other threads on here:

Who would want "tard" in their plate? To must of us, that's a short form of 'Retard' - may be quite appropriate for the owner.

"MU52LE X" on a white 3 series cabriolet. Unfortunately, Mr Mu52le had parked in a disabled bay and got a ticket for his trouble.

He's sent word to ask if we can remember what he went for.
