PRO 8ODY on an Audi R8 in white, went past me in the Hatfield tunnel then slowed everyone down to listen to his engine rev up with the window down. I overtook in my Zoe and laughed.

ME 0 2EXY on a Smart car on Friday night.

What then topped the plate off, was the For Sale advert in the rear window, offering said plate for £1,000.

Not desperate at all; why not letting everyone know what's under the bonnet?

I think the point was that it's probably not a V8, not that that's a problem. It was a joke

I can confirm that "Leo" is also a first name - perhaps the owner of that car has that name and was born on 6 August?

Why is it possible in the UK to get hold of these butchered plates?! Where do people buy them from and who is making and selling them? Surely it is totally illegal.
They're not illegal to own, they're illegal to use on the road. In the same way that owning a fake ID or similar is completely legal, you're just not allowed to use it as real identification.

You can call yourself anything you like...I could make any ID I wished too, just I cannot use it for fraudulent gain , ID to the courts/tax and that sort of thing.

Well, that's what I meant. I could introduce myself as everyone with any name or title I want.

I could call myself Dr Banks, but I couldn't then use it to give medical evidence in court or to write prescriptions.

I could call myself King Robin, but it wouldn't give me the right to live in Buckingham Palace.

That's what I meant by novelty fake ID. For instance if you're 16 you're allowed to own novelty ID which shows that you're 19, but as soon as you try to use it to buy a bottle of vodka, that's illegal.

The car has the plate to match the engine lol "FAST RS"

So that will actually be FASET RS then laugh

Pillock of an eBay seller also said:
on the Logbook states ST3 but the car has and is a RS !! It has every nut and bolt the car was originally a cat C in 2013
So it's not actually a genuine RS then is it, if it started out life as a Focus ST - prick.

Even more amusing is that the seller seems to think a Cat C Focus ST is worth £18k plus laugh

On the M3 just now...

A gorgeous Mercedes-AMG GT with the plate "W7 WKD". Seriously???

Also a bright yellow Bentley Continental Convertible with the plate "A 7 A". Even considering the cost of a Conti the plate is probably worth as much as the car, and neither the colour nor the plate did anything to enhance the car (for me).
