This one always springs to mind smile

I remember seeing this line up next to a WRC rep Escos at ford fair.

This thing just shot off like it had a rocket up its arse.

Epic motor, and definitely an ultimate sleeper.

Just looked them up in the classifieds and stumbled upon IMO the worst colour combination ever!

I like that - a lot

Not sure if we've had this before but,

E28 M5 with M badges removed, 520i badge on the bootlid, and plastic wheeltrims. And never ever wash it. Cushion and nodding dog on the back shelf. Anti static strips hanging from rear bumper.

E500 388BHP 7speed box & it looks like an E220 cdi

Unless you decide stealth isn't what you want.

Jaguar X-Type 3.0v6 - quicker than boxster of it's era
BMW 335d xDrive is a modern stealth one, think it will put most to shame (0-62 <5s) plus diesel economy

Have to disagree about the 335d I'd say any Alpina is a proper stealth car my Alpina D3 0-60 in 4.6 top speed 170mph RWD and wrapped up in a standard shell.

Looking at the leaked images of the Civic Type R (which it's fair to say definitely doesn't meet criteria for inclusion in this thread hehe ) sparked a conversation between blearyeyedgirl and me. If you wanted a subtle but potent car, you could do a lot worse than a Leon Cupra ST these days.

I don't think it'd get that much attention (as long as you don't spec the orange wheels!). Debadge it and don't go mad with other options and I think it'd go under a lot of people's radar. Even without debadging I think it wouldn't raise many eyebrows. Unusually for a car, I think it'd get less attention in red than other colours.

Even the 5 door hatch isn't that mad looking.
