Wow! Cheers PH for posting my RX-7, really great to form one part of the collage representing the overall PH fleet. (Even if my 'pistons' are of the weird triangular kind).

I've posted a full thread here, if anyone wants to know more

happy to try answering any FD questions, although I've only had her three weeks yet, so I'm no expert.

Why was the question not asked here on the forums out of interest? Many of us here don't 'do' social media, thereby severely limiting the number of actual PHers who'd see it.

I'm sure the answers would've been far more varied if it had been asked here.
Doing it this way encouraged us to effectively 'promote' PH on Twitter, thus potentially bringing a larger audience of car enthusiasts in to the PH community (including the forums).

BTW I agree with all the comments about the danger of Facebook - in my experience, it's far more likely to provoke divorce than an expensive car habit. However Twitter is a totally different thing, much lighter-weight and less contentious - trivial, but diverting and fairly harmless. I follow Chris Harris & Sniff Petrol's banter, plus a few F1 drivers, for example.

I've got a Mk1 Seat Leon which is exactly the same as the one pictured, so if you could please all imagine that's my car then I won't need to work out how to upload a picture.

Still in shock at how much better the MG Maestro looks now than when it was current. That one looks fabulous.

Quite similar to posting on forums though, in fact forums were the beginning of social media.

I own a Clio 182 which I adore, an ancient Mitsibushi Shogun SWB for winter use (it snows a lot up here) and an even more ancient Westfield which is currently in rebuild. It runs but Webers need a good clean and reset and the electrics are less than perfect..

Quite a lot of love for my friends old Maestro Turbo. That engine has two pistons from my old Maestro Turbo lump, spent alot of time on that car with him with the tuning, smoothed the front bumper which is why the look of it is so clean from the front. Shame you cant get any parts for them anymore, even windscreens are a PITA to find now. I sold mine this year, after 12 years of ownership. I'm just starting to regret it now.

I'm on Twitter, still not sure how to use it, if anything its more a business tool, I know some people are very anti-social network but car forums do the same sort of thing and have done for years.

I was going to post to the same effect but thought it might open up a can of worms. Consider can opened.

Surely all forms of social media is to communicate with other people in different forms. To share experiences.Facebook and Twitter are very good platforms for such communication like it or not.Remember letters with a stamp,Then E mail, then instant messenger. What's the difference!
Agreed F book and Twitter has a lot of Sh## on it but invaluble for keeping in touch with REAL friends and groups of people who share the same passion. They're here to stay if you don't keep up you will be left behind.
Oh and to add you try arranging a get together with 80 other people within 24 hours date venue all sorted via text message.50 of which do not have your number nor do you have theirs.
