Talk about total confidence in the car! Amazing drive. That's almost an NSX-R time, which he'd have beaten without the traffic.
An ECU map and breathing tweaks = perhaps 190bhp?
I'm no expert but I presume the NSX-R was a full lap which is longer than a BTG lap.An ECU map and breathing tweaks = perhaps 190bhp?
If you look in his info he claims 180bhp.
From his other posted clips it seems two years earlier he wasn't much slower with 160bhp..
but as he doesn't slow down for corners, I don't suppose it matters that much !
Some brilliant driving!
That GT3 though, just shows that just because you can afford one, doesn't make you a racing God! His lines were terrible in most corners and you can tell he's braking from lack of confidence (that and it does cost £140k, which tbf, I wouldn't want to ding that either, lol)

A slightly modified NC MX5 Nurburgring BTG 7.58 - it would have been faster but a GT3 kept holding him up !

The owner is the Koenigsegg test driver.
That's some really impressive wheelsmithery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ3x462rlmg

That GT3 driver must have been spitting bullets that he'd been show up by a 'weedy' MX5

Shows the theory that learning how to make a 'slow' car go fast is far better for improving driving skills than having a fast car to begin with

To be fair, the GT3 was being pedalled pretty well, but the MX5 was flying! That GT3 driver must have been spitting bullets that he'd been show up by a 'weedy' MX5
