Have any of you got an SLR that will do video between you? You could then use that for everything but the car mounted shots and you'll get much better results. Also try filming at 1080p 25fps and see if you prefer the look
Good stuff about the suction mounts, you can do loads of interesting angles with those

You'll get more motion blur, 60 can look a bit like a home video style thing because of the reduced motion blur. I film a fair amount with a youtube channel called car throttle and all of their stuff is in 25.

Then you can use 60fps (or whatever the go pro goes up to) for slow motion stuff, so shoot at 60 and slow it down down by 2.4 times to make it 25fps
