Yes the biker in that video was speeding but the Clio just didn't look properly and someone ended up paying with their life because of someone else's lack of concentration. Even if the biker had acknowledged the junction ahead and slowed down in anticipation I reckon that would still have had the same conclusion.

Thats a hard video to watch and just shows how easy it is to end up dead when out on a bike. My brother just recently had a motobike crash in the Beacons but was lucky to get away with a hospital visit and some nasty bruises but it really brings it home when its someone close to you that has a tumble.

Even if he had 'acknowledged the junction ahead' it would have made no difference. The Renault driver admitted he did not see the bike or thecar that was following the bike. Other drivers had seen both. (sixth paragraph up from the bottom of the article)
