Last I heard he was walking along the M5 hard shoulder trying to find phone reception. Or was that a cruel rumour?

Waved goodbye to the 9-5 Aero an hour ago. Very pleased to see it in the hands of a fellow PHer.

Really good to meet yet another genuine guy and fellow Petrolhead. All the best Andy! thumbup

It looks a bit tatty on the outside (maybe just in need of a wash and a new rear numberplate) but the inside looks good enough. I've always liked these. Potentially disastrous fuel tank rot and cooling system replacement aside (and suspension costs), I wouldn't think twice about buying an E38, particularly in silver.

Not so sure on the advert though.

BMW 735I V8 SPORT FULLY LOADED !!!!!!!!!!!

SAT NAV, TV, CLIMATE, LEATHER!!!!!!!

20" ALLOYS, CRUISE, PHONE!!!!

This is the top of the range 7 series BMW, with every extra you could think of, come and see for yourself, you will Not be dissapointed at all!!!!!

Needs to be seen,,, it really is that GOOD!!!!!!!!

735i top of the range? No...

As I've said before, you really want to buy this sort of car from the sort of gent who enjoys trips to stately homes, occasionally drinks at farm house tea rooms, may have had golf clubs in the boot etc etc, not someone who writes and formats an advert like that!

Find it hard to argue against.

Silver is my least favourite colour for a car but it certainly suits the 7er, it slims down what is a chunky monkey. Even the rump looks good
