Don't be so ridiculous, our roads are rubbish, buy it, take it to France and have some fun, you will then be on the correct side of the road winkdriving

Ive now owned more LHD cars in my driving history than RHD drive ones, there is no problem with having a LHD car in the UK. easier to park, just look out of the window at the curb as you park, so no worrying about curb rash on the wheels. Your near the pavement so there great for admiring ladies when driving around Knightsbridge or the Kings road biggrin
errm, for me overtaking is more important than perving. And I can park anyway, it isn't that hard. I would have had an Integrale by now if it wasn't for the fact that I just knew I would have taken the right hand side off the car (or worse) whilst having a look if it was clear or not.
Its easy, you just hang back a bit, you have loads of power to compensate, you also tend to chill out more watching other drivers all up each others rear ends working out when they can overtake wink Country roads are OK too, you have a tendency to drive nearer the curb in a LHD (aim for the drain grates), that way you know you are well away from the center white line.

Nice publicity stunt but I can't get on with GT5. Trying to race online was a terrible experience, you either get yanks who just want to drive on circuits that are full of long straights or you get others who bring out an F1 car and the rest of us have no hope.
it is pretty easy to restrict what is allowed in races, but agree it is a mixed bag. racing your mates is the best bet

Been driving LHD's for 25 years no problems here.
Except there is a problem, I know it's fine on dual carriageways/tracks but anything else just ain't worth the hassle imo.

You'll still have to pay the horrendous tax and duty when you import it.
The rule of thumb is whatever you pay in dollars is what it normally cost in pounds by the time it's on the road.
Obviously depends on exchange rate, but at 1.60 to the pound it's a pretty close thing.
yesfrown Bring back the good old days of over 2 to the pound!

And where do you get a 6litre V8 that can get 32+ mpg

I hope CO2 is something like 250g/km.(for taxation) I do not get how US rates the fuel economy. Porsche 991 carrera S on US site is only rated 27 mpg highway(8.7l/100km from convert-me site). On Finnish Porsche site it says 9,5l/100km(24.7mpg us) combined and 7,1l/100km(33.08mpg us) on highway. CO2 on carrera S manual is 224g/100km.

Nothing amused me more than standing on the balcony of my flat watching my mate trying to get his Corvette into the underground car park. Get out, run round, enter the code and run back, hopefully before the barrier comes back down. What was even more amusing was that I was able to open the barrier remotely from my flat, but of course never did because frankly it was so damned funny to watch. If you opened it remotely juuuust before he typed the code in, it was practically impossible for him to make it in time. Much burned rubber on the entrance ramp. laugh

LHD in the UK? No thanks.

You see, he should have thought about Reversing up to the barrier wink Then he would be on the correct side tongue out Must admit it is a bit of a flaff at the Dartford crossing, you cant pull up right next to the toll booth so you have to pull up just before it narrows up, undo harnesses, get out of car find cash in pockets, walk up to toll booth and pay, walk back to car do up harnesses start car and then drive on.

Ive no idea why people seem upset behind me confused The alternitive option could be Drive towards booth at a reasonable rate, quick handbrake turn, back in, pay reverse out at speed, another handbrake turn and your off. biggrin
Never dared to do it, but it would be a laugh biggrin

Or alternatively you just lean across the passenger seat. Less amusing I know, but more effective and less hassle.

Wrong hand drive isnt a problem. Ive run lefties in the UK (inc the aforementioned Integrale as my daily smoker) and righties over here.

Don't think that would work, in my car the seats are low, you have a center console in the way and with the Harnesses on you cant move! With the seat belts undone you have to push yourself up out of the seat and then counter act your weight across the console just to reach the passenger door handle! No way I could get my hand out of the passenger window!

You can't do a handbrake turn in reverse, you need a J-turn I think they call it. I doubt I will ever attempt one!
