Ive now owned more LHD cars in my driving history than RHD drive ones, there is no problem with having a LHD car in the UK. easier to park, just look out of the window at the curb as you park, so no worrying about curb rash on the wheels. Your near the pavement so there great for admiring ladies when driving around Knightsbridge or the Kings road
errm, for me overtaking is more important than perving. And I can park anyway, it isn't that hard. Except there is a problem, I know it's fine on dual carriageways/tracks but anything else just ain't worth the hassle imo. Been driving LHD's for 25 years no problems here.

I hope CO2 is something like 250g/km.(for taxation) I do not get how US rates the fuel economy. Porsche 991 carrera S on US site is only rated 27 mpg highway(8.7l/100km from convert-me site). On Finnish Porsche site it says 9,5l/100km(24.7mpg us) combined and 7,1l/100km(33.08mpg us) on highway. CO2 on carrera S manual is 224g/100km.Been driving LHD's for 25 years no problems here.

Nothing amused me more than standing on the balcony of my flat watching my mate trying to get his Corvette into the underground car park. Get out, run round, enter the code and run back, hopefully before the barrier comes back down. What was even more amusing was that I was able to open the barrier remotely from my flat, but of course never did because frankly it was so damned funny to watch. If you opened it remotely juuuust before he typed the code in, it was practically impossible for him to make it in time. Much burned rubber on the entrance ramp. LHD in the UK? No thanks.

You see, he should have thought about Reversing up to the barrier Then he would be on the correct side Must admit it is a bit of a flaff at the Dartford crossing, you cant pull up right next to the toll booth so you have to pull up just before it narrows up, undo harnesses, get out of car find cash in pockets, walk up to toll booth and pay, walk back to car do up harnesses start car and then drive on.
Ive no idea why people seem upset behind me The alternitive option could be Drive towards booth at a reasonable rate, quick handbrake turn, back in, pay reverse out at speed, another handbrake turn and your off.
Never dared to do it, but it would be a laugh

Don't think that would work, in my car the seats are low, you have a center console in the way and with the Harnesses on you cant move! With the seat belts undone you have to push yourself up out of the seat and then counter act your weight across the console just to reach the passenger door handle! You can't do a handbrake turn in reverse, you need a J-turn I think they call it.
