What a fantastic prize.

Doing the Academy this year was one of the best experiences of my life cool
Same here, even if I didn't win like Alex! Just fantastic.

As regards cost, I came off much worse than average, with two non-trivial shunts. Deduct the excess and the premium for race insurance from the bills I paid, and I would only have been a few hundred pounds better off if I had insured it.

Hats of to PH for this. Unbelievably brilliant prize.

I wish I was eligible to enter this but sadly as a Haymarket Employee holding an MSA Licence I'm doubly out of the competition!

Just so you are all aware: You can buy a ticket to Autosport International or The Performance Car Show: powered by PistonHeads.com to enter the competition. Each ticket will get you into both parts of the show.

Best of luck and I'm already jealous!

I'm waiting for a BOGOF offer like last year to get my tickets.

Fairplay to you boys for this prize - I'm seriously jealous of the winner! I spent last Sunday racing a load of Caterhams in my old Fiesta and found myself really wanting a go, gutted I already have a license.....

does having a karting license count as previous licence?

I'd like to know this! I haven't renewed my kart licence since 2008, and I'm pretty sure it expires (so I cannot renew it again without taking my test again) at the end of 2012.

Would this mean I'm eligible to enter? The check box asks if you have ever held a licence, which I have, so I assume I'm not? frown

I have entered, not a chance of winning but hey if it is a million to one chance it just might work
