RE: Time For Tea? Urban Outlaw
Discussion
I'm not sure about making threads news given a couple of articles here seemed like the sort of stuff I associated with proper articles and not advertorials in printed magazines, but agreeing with the former Lexus owner I wouldn't have seen this otherwise.
I guess it's a challenge differentiating proper content from threads when some threads are so good?

Despite having a lot of race experience?
So someone who's driving up your ass all the way, like a racing driver, on public roads isn't a dick?Or maybe someone who accellerates while you try to overtake? Or does everything in his power to overtake you back?
Don't want to go off topic, but how does "having a lot of racing experience" nullifies the "he drives like a dick" argument?
Massively jealous about the lifestyle and very much respect what Magnus has achieved. I just wish this achievement had not forced his head so far up his butt. He should be a totally cool guy but in fact appears to mope around with a face like a slapped arse. In any case these cars for me can't hold a candle to the Singer creations.

Reading through the thread - he is in Sheffield at the moment as his father passed away.magnus walker porsche collection

Seems like a genuinely nice guy.
Why can't anyone do it there? Well, because as soon as people move up the economic ladder (provided they can do this), they want to go somewhere else, to keep more of their money, instead of funding health care and the like in your country with their taxes. The rest of the world benefits from your tax laws.
Interesting viewing, slightly annoys me that at 31 I haven't really achieved much (not compared to this guy anyway) so all credit to him for being a self made success.
The vid does impose upon itself a little but it's nice to see something shot from a different angle.
Having looked at his online shop I was expecting to see a plethora of vintage/vintage inspired clothing - shirts, jeans, boots, little leather straps for Porsche door handles et al (always find a use for 'et al' on a PH thread..) and yet it's only t shirts, hoodies, beanies etc that didn't inspire much, did I not find the proper website, he made some of his money from selling clothes did he not?
Shame about the bridge..

Not a Porsche owner/enthusiast but could be. Love the retro cool look of all the cars.
Film was well shot and well put together. Understand why it was at Sundance.
If you're after a film about a mans collection of Porsches don't watch it.
If you fancy watching a film about a guy who built a business from nothing and has a passion for, and an unusual collection of, Porsches then check it out.
Like.

I have one of his old cars for sale if anyone is interested. I'm on info@robertbarrielimited.com and/or www.robertbarrielimited.com. Best wishes, Robert
For the car enthusiast, What is not to like about this film??
Vimeo video link that works
I really enjoyed watching that. Good luck to the guy. He seems to have a few business interests (self-promotion is an important aspect of that) that are giving him a lifestyle he enjoys, who cares whether he's "rich" or not?
If only I'd had the nerve/vision to try doing something other than the conventional, I'd not be working for other people, merely existing, in an office for 40+hrs/week.

I debated whether or not I should watch this video, mainly due to it being quoted as "30 mins long". But I'm so glad that I did.
If that's not living the dream.....
It's not just the fantastic cars, but the whole detachment from the rat race and pursuing whart he enjoys whilst managing to turn a tidy profit also.
Kudos to his Mrs as well for the no-quibble support....
Nothing but admiration....
Ps. I'm also off to peruse the classifieds....

I'd say for a very sizeable majority of the population of this country, it's a dream lifestyle. In fact, being able to afford a 'lifestyle' with prices the way they are is out of reach of average earners.
maybe everyone isnt arsed about being a millionaire... how about enought to pay the bills and fund your passion of dicking about with cars... that'd be enought for me...any job where your not a desk monkey and a slave to a corporation sounds good...

Love the cars the life style man is living the Dream
The only problem I have "the DREADlocks..... " a step too far in his image indulgent ways makes him look like a filthy skuzzz ball. "which anyone with Dlocks IS as they never wash their hair yuck" no matter which way you don't cut it utterly filthy. He has a video explaining why he has the locks but nothing excuses it IMO.
I know that's just me… Though I'm not obsessed with hygiene just the thought of talking to someone with st in their hair from 10 years back makes me queasy.
There’s alway a flaw in every genius.
i used to have dreads... (and not unfortuanely bald!)... and you CAN wash them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Love the cars the life style man is living the Dream
