"£250 for hands free card with push-button start, £250 for tyre pressure monitor"

hmmm, not exactly performance essentials are they haha

Not convinced by £750 for headlights but they do look nice smile

As you have the Xenons, you should have the climate pack as well?

nice, the 18s on the leafy lanes will be worth it the first time you hit a pothole.

They probably do drive very well...

But they look hideous. Inside and out.

Its a Renault so buy new, keep it until the warranty runs out, then run away as fast as you can.

Each to their own, I love the way it looks and the inside looks great as far as I'm concerned - especially if you spec the leather seats.

I like the tyre pressure monitors. Useful to see that the tyres are up to temperature/pressure before you push it along, so does have a performance benefit IMO

You've got good taste my friend...except I went for drug dealer alloys!
Just say red does look good, I've not seen one in it though!

Says the man who bought a clapped out 172 and now thinks he is a Renault expert and now owns a Nissan with a far superior interior lol

Strange logic, surely it would be far, far more cost effective to buy nearly new, then sell it when you're ready to move on. Renault's aren't that unreliable any more, change the oil within schedule and actually get the major jobs done in plenty of time (i.e. cambelt, RS Clio owners are particularly good at ignoring this as it's not a cheap service) and they are generally fine.

I've had 4 Clios now, about 200k covered, no breakdowns and rear shocks aside I've only ever had to replace the usual consumables.

They are st end of story. I suppose the brand new almost equally st 182 I had was also clapped out?

Don't need to be an expert to know how st they are tbh. Most people do.

All manufacturers produce good cars and bad cars and if there's one thing that stands out from the reliability and/or customer satisfaction surveys for me, it's that there is very little difference between the best and worst.

Don't agree. Next you'll be telling me a clio is as reliable as a micra. smile

The clapped out clio I bought had FSH and was said by a specialist to be a lovely example. Go figure. Anyway enough said as I'm in the pub.

I think one of the two more unreliable cars I've ever come across first hand was a Nissan (Almera). The other was a brand new 330d. Anything can be unreliable with a bit of bad luck.

Nice spec. I noticed the same thing when buying mine - it works out cheaper to buy a Cup and then spec it up rather than go for a FF and add the Cup pack (provided you can live without the extra luxuries).

Not sure what the 18" will be like as I had 19". But I found the 19" to be fine anyway. You don't get the Bridgestone tyres with the 18", which I thought was a cracking tyre. However, not sure you will notice any difference (if there is any) unless you are doing trackdays.

I reckon the monitor is worth it. The first time you put it in Extreme mode on a cold winters morning is very grin inducing! My preferred setting for dry road use was always Sport. However, if you are doing a lot of urban stop start driving one of the lower settings will probably be more suitable.

Ignore the haters, the Meganes are cracking cars and I would consider another one in 12/18 months time. I had no issues with mine at all, everything worked and nothing broke or fell off.
