Great to read a article on a 911 that doesnt go into unneeded technical detail snobbery!
Well done sir...

Nice car.

I didn't know Harold Shipman owned an 911. (sorry)

Great write up. This is a very good example of what I want to do with my 996 as well. Fantastic.

Just to echo what others have said - great car and great story - wishing you many more happy miles and adventures !

Just to note I drove over the Millau Viaduct for the first time this year - what an experience that was, but only in a hire car not a Porsche !

Hi Jamie it's Gus - Ashley's son. It took me by suprise to see you on the PH carpool! Good to see the obsession runs in the family. I ended up buying the 996T we spoke with you on the phone about several months ago. Perhaps I'll see you at a PH event soon! I wish you many more motoring miles of happiness!

Brilliant to see a car being used properly. You certainly get your moneys worth - far more so than people who hide them in a garage "so she doesn't lose value".

Many happy miles to you both in the future!

The pictures in the snow show different alloys to the summer pictures. Is the car switched onto winter rubber for these journeys?
Different tyres on different wheels for Winter and Summer- 4x4 would only get you so far on summer tyres.

Best Carpool write-up I've read for a while I think, nothing I can say to add to other comments. Add me to the list of people saying "This is what I'm going to do!" One day...

Great read - sounds almost too good to be true - would love to know what the mnce costs are like to complete that sort of mileage.

Also be interested to note why the cab preferred over targa for future consideration?

Brilliant read, that must be one of the best Carpool write up's ever. Full respect for using the car properly!

Thanks for brightening up my otherwise dull Monday

Loved my 964. As the op said, comfy, plenty quick enough, practical, and beautifully built.
I can't see why there is such a gulf in prices between these and a 993, but predict these will increase soon enough.
A great mix of classic 911 yet usable as a daily.
I need to get another.

Eta- lovely colour too.
