This is becoming more of a serious option as time goes on, if the interior lives up to the looks and noise it'll be great. Like it.
IMHO the interior is better than the exterior, there are a few slightly cheezy details but the basics are spot on. Great driving position, controls where they should be and you seem to sit low. You feel like you're in the centre of the machine. Seats aren't bad eitherPHuzzy said:
I had the pleasure of seeing a V8 F-Type on Saturday around the Walsgrave area and it looked and sounded superb!
I saw the one featured in the video a few weeks back on the M20, certainly a nice car, didn't really get to hear the sound track as it was cruising along quite slowly.Driller said:

Shirley it is better to have some artificial noise piped into the cabin through the HiFi speakers?
They didn't...did they?PunterCam said:
Still far too heavy to be taken seriously imo. It's a foot shorter than the XK, but barely any lighter... No matter how good it proves to be, I just don't think I could ever want one, purely because of that.
Even if it magically handles like a 1400kg car? On paper it does seem a bit heavy and a bit expensive, but it might turn out to be sublime.
They sound great, until the up change......I am sorry, but I just can't get over the limp wristed change in engine note when coupled to a semi-slush box (and this goes for pretty much every car I have heard with one of the infernal things). I want a car like that (coupe, by the way, not soft top) with a proper box.

Worry not, the V6 and V6S will be available with a manual 'box in due course, around the end of 2013 from what I've heard.I think the V6 S will be the pick of the range, either of the V6's would be for me purely for the twin central exhausts, I know it sounds daft but I think the quad exits on the V8 totally upset the rear end design of the car. When I first saw the press shots before the engine details were released I was convinced the centre exhausts would be the fast one and the quad the slow.
The noise is excellent, as are the looks inside and out, only thing for me is the price I do think it is expensive even for whats on offer. Everytime do the online build thing it comes out at 75k ish !!!

Me too. Oh, and it's not a semi-slush box, it's a full-on slushbox. But... A V6S with a manual, in red. Yum.
