So they'll still not sell many then?
I rented a G37S for 2 weeks in the States. It was a nice car - but at the time I'd also just sold an E92 335i which is the BMW equivilent and the Infinity was noticeably lacking in numerous areas. It felt like a Nissan inside - nothing about the interior felt like I was sitting in a BMW or Audi competitor. The engine was great, it was quick, too, but it felt like a cheap Japanese car and when you are trying to compete with Mercedes, BMW and Audi that simply isn't good enough.
Took one of those for a drive in Reading and frankly, it didn't feel like a, like you say, "cheap japanese car". Maybe plastics a little bit off but nothing bad. So if its not the interior and not the engine... what is it? What feels cheap?I rented a G37S for 2 weeks in the States. As for 335i... I wouldn't put it forward as a shining example, not with direct injection problems that engine had. If I remember correctly in US they were dropping like flies and there was a class-action invoking lemon law involved.
