Nice vid.
Driving Nirvana for me was the TVR S-Club Euro Tour to the Ardennes, Nurburgring & Spa Classic, as mentioned by Auto Andy.
Definitely the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on, especially the laps of Spa. Awesome!
Also ticked off the lap of the 'Ring from my bucket list.
Once was enough, scary stuff, mad busy, huge speed differ, entials, some lunatics, passed by two major incidents, impossible to follow the racing lines, jjust concentrated on keeping my nose & tail clean.
I'd only do it again on a closed track day with restricted numbers of cars of similar performance.
But I can say I've done it.
Spa was just perfect, brilliant driving pleasure.

Looking forward to the Alps next year. cloud9

It would appear a lot of the 'making progress' shots were speeded up but I'd love to do something like that one day!

I guess it is easier to post clips of foreign motoring as the BIB dont get quite so excitable....the clip was emailed to me by a friend who l go out with sometimes for an early Sunday blast/brekkie. I know what we will discuss next time we have brekkie - what a great time you must have had yes

Nice vid shot to great music. I must admit I'd love to do it but just not in a 911!

If there was ever a video description of just what a '11 is for, this is it.
Instant overtaking ability, confidence inspiring handling [yes I know] and sheer mechanical quality [yes at a price] then this is it.

well done, you lucky b@stards!

Good video...but I am sorry there is only one way to do the Alps/Pyrenees and that's on 2 wheels.

I speak from experience....have done both on my R1200GS and its just simply more exciting than doing it in a car plus you get left alone by the Police!

Oh, happy day. I took my 3-door Cossie to the Western Isles on several occasions and apart from problems getting on and off ferries, it was as least as much fun as these guys had. Thanks for reminding me of it. Time to buy a 911.

It's a turn of phrase.
Partially. Pistonheads is also read by people who's native tongue is not English. So if I read "warts and all that" I assumed policemen, as a) they do seem to feature a lot in the video and b) I do know that Policemen have a lot of pet names....so this might yet be another one.

So by your answer I assume it is not another word for Policemen.

Damnit. I was just coming to terms with not being a sports-car owner any more, yet alone no longer having a 911.

Then you went and spoiled it and I need one all over again.

Good effort.
Aint that the truth.
That's it decided, I'm buying another 911.

ditto, ..I'm gonna get me another one..
Plus one. Porsche should be using these real enjoyment clips as their advertising.

It's powerful stuff.

Plumbstar indeed, waz, you told me it was gasengineerstar!

Most of that was filmed by me and it is only a tiny fraction of the footage we shot.

They were the most amazing and exhilarating holidays I have ever had, with a great bunch.

I know it might be fun on a bike too, but at least I took my roof down!

Great stuff! Mr Meat - go and buy that 911 - have you seen what you can get a turn of the millennium 996 for? Much less than £10k privately. Don't be afraid of a well looked-after 996 3.4 - they don't all suffer massive engine failure and they're actually quicker and handier than the wider-bodied 996S with the 3.6 litre engine. I've got a "T" plate C4 and I absolutely love it. Plus, I've just had the 964 out (she insists on coming out of the garage at Christmas) for her first run in two months - with the top down and air-cooled flat-six screaming under a windy but moonlit late evening sky - just fantastic. You only die once (as I believe Gerald Durrell's daughter said). Merry Christmas!

Awesome, I'd love to do something like that some day. Chances are pretty low though unfortunately!
