The Clio 200 has a better chassis and more grip than a 182 so fail to see how it is slower around corners? I'm sure those who have had both would concur with that?
Have you just defended a Renault product TameRacingDriver? I think you might be a closet Francophile but too ashamed to admit it. You do seem to post a lot on Renault threads!
yikes

I remembered it slightly wrong; the 200 did scrape ahead in the end. But the 182 has more bhp per ton than the 200. Marginally so, but still a surprising fact.

I'm not sure how accurate that test was.

The fifth gear team left the timings sheets in the 182 and the owner put the results on the net. They showed the opposite result(182 quicker) and had apparently been altered for TV.

Make of this what you will.

I dunno. On the video they show the two videos superimposed as one goes across the line. Suggests it's true although it probably doesn't take much photoshop wizardry to fake it. I suppose Renault would have an interest in the 200 being quicker so perhaps some financial incentive for fifth gear, but I dunno lol.

I haven't heard a bad word against the 182's chassis so TameRacingDriver's comment that the 200's chassis is better surprised me. I've heard that although the handling on the 200 is very good, the steering could have more feel. After that I always assumed the 182 connected the driver better to the road. So on bhp per ton figures I would have hedged my bets on the 182 winning.

Your 350Z is cheaper to run than the previous Clios you have owned?

What happened to Pedrotunes (guy with the red twingo)? His posts have disappeared from this thread.

I was going to ask him how he came to lease that car. I wonder if leasing cars is a cheap way to "test live-with" (rather than test drive) cars.
Probably works for a magazine. Someone posted similar about the new 3-series on the BMW section a few months ago and there posts also disappeared.
Hi guys...Not a magazine but I do work in the car industry. I removed them as I realised I may have had too, but it turns out I didn't!

The car looks great did really grow on me despite its faults, it's just the bar has been set so high with the Clio and Megane.

The car is a short term demo I have been using so I don't personally own it or lease it. I would recommend a longer test drive if you're considering a Twingo 133 to try it on all types of roads...motorway, town, A/B roads...on the right road at the right time it is very good but some may find the ride/tyre noise/fuel economy/refinement etc disappointing.

Thanks
