Agreed; I wanted a 9-5 but ended up with a 9-3 as I needed a car in a hurry, both of the 9-5's I was interested in sold quicker than I could get to view them. My OG9-3 is a very decent car for the £600 I paid, but it's not a patch to drive compared to a 9-5.I WISH said:

Wouldn't disagree with your assessment of the car ...... but I'd wager that the leather chairs in either (or both) the Alfa 147 2.0 Selespeed or the Honda Accord Executive might give the seats in the SAAB a run for their money!

Scary to see them so cheap - I paid more than double for my '04, albeit with half the miles. Mine's had a noobtune stage 1 remap. 3rd gear onwards the traction control leaves you alone, and from 50mph (in a straight line) keeps a 996 Carrera honest.

Looks good, wheels could do with spacers but that's personal opinion. Mines Cappinchino Black (black with bronze flecks) and when clean looks like you could put your hand in to it. Nice 2 tone leather.

Alternatively full-synth oil & filter £15 from ECP and 20 minutes very easy work if you're a tight bugger like me. Spark plus were £4.50 a set with a trade card, 10 minutes to change.Comfort, space, reasonable economy, easy servicing, superb speed- what's not to like?

Very true, oil changes are possible for cheaper, but my way they dispose of the old, and I don't have to lay in the road being watched by neighbours! Comfort, space, reasonable economy, easy servicing, superb speed- what's not to like?

With another baby on the way, our existing car was going to prove too small for our needs. Having looked at a few different options, I bought one a couple of weeks ago.
Agree with the sentiments of others on this thread, I couldn't find anything else that met so many of my requirements for the price.

I owned a 9000 Aero for 4 years before I bought the 9-5 Aero, and I personally found the seats in the 9-5 to be much better than the 9000 Aero.
I know everyone raves about the seats in the 9000 Aero, but I found they didn't suit my body shape.

Slightly iffy seller reputation aside, it's really been one of the best cars I've ever owned. I know, whatever the weather/conditions, it will work. My only real niggle is the width - she's a bit of a Nigella.
