Well done There are so many 'wrongs' with this story in my opinion.
Obviously the guy is an idiot for trying to get away with it.
His friend is a bigger idiot for agreeing to take the points.
His friend is a bigger idiot still for only asking for £250: No licence, therefore no insurance + SP30 surely equates to a bigger fine than £250?
And since we're loving the memes:

"Woodburn showed no regard for anyone else. He was prepared to drive at excessive speed, once caught rather than changing the manner of his driving"
Where does it say that he intended to carry on speeding? It implies he didn't want to get banned.
"He selfishly paid to have someone else to take the blame so that he could continue behaving as before."
Where does it say that he intended to carry on speeding? It implies he didn't want to get banned.
Police and / or the media. Cannot make *one* statement without bigging everything up!

I assume they're saying that he'd already been caught (probably several times, for 9 points) and carried on speeding? Doesn't seem to be quite what they said though, I'll admit; it's pretty shoddy journalism, but then most journalism is. Where does it say that he intended to carry on speeding? It implies he didn't want to get banned.
