some kindly gentleman remodelled the entire rear end of my just bought clio 172 last night, winning this would be just the news to cheer me up.
Might have been better as an entry....

(Sorry to hear about the car)

Could this thread, or perhaps a message from the mods regarding the delay in decision for the winner be pinned.

We'll post a new announcement tomorrow with the amended announcement date, best to wait until we can confirm that date before we pin/ post afresh I think.

Arrggghhhh dying of anticipation here lol ... any word on a decision on the the day that a winner will be announced??

not surprised at the huge volume of entries, could always go with the tried and tested 'job applications first sift' of putting 50% of the pile in the bin straight away and classing it as 'luck of the draw' lol

I'm just typing it now, so will be on the home page soon. But I'll share with you first as forum membership friends smile

I am a judge of one when it comes to completing the shortlist, so reading these and looking after the general PH daily stuff is quite time-consuming.

Also, I am the idiot who published an announcement date of the 22nd March when I should have allowed a month. I have been punished for this by being made to drive a Prius this weekend.

As our friends at Adrian Flux need to join me and the PH team for the final judging, and we have a pesky Bank Holiday in the way, our announcement date will be....

Friday 5th April, which is two weeks later than planned and one week sooner than we intended.

Apologies and thanks for the understanding (I hope will follow)

Paul must have been inspired by someone's selection while reading them because he has been wondering about Mk1 Audi TT's today, and how fast is fast enough on public roads. hehe

I've just realised, if the winner uses the money to buy an Elise the universe might implode with irony.

Sir, if you ever decide to change careers a job in engineering project planning for the defence industry awaits at a MOD or government department near you.

If it helps I'll settle for just a cup of tea and bacon roll, along with the win.

It's better it's being done properly rather than some professional competition enterer bags it like the CAR Magazine Fiat Coupe competition in the mid-90s.

I was trying to get friends to enter and after giving them ideas for their 250 word pitch I wish I'd entered for them as them as I could have made it better than mine. I'd have got that GT-Four powered Picnic and flux in there as they wrote one of their cars off in the snow, one of those single vehicle accidents due to driver error and the 'conditions'. confused

That it's very cold and snow is white may not be enough of a clue for some people?
