RE: Audi RS7 officially unveiled
Discussion
Really like the road presence of the A7s, almost Lambo Quattroporte in its stance and dimensions.. not a big fan of the huge Quattro sign, Audis used to pride themselves with discrete Quattro grille badges in the past. It's a shame that from originally appealing to the BMW-repelled cognoscenti in the 80s and 90s, Audi's have slowly become the sole preserve of the tailgaiting S-line badged, undersexed sales rep.. or RS-hole as they are now known.
What a weapon! Amazing power, unique and aggressive looks, road presence, 4WD stability, luxury interior, all the toys, great build quality, loads of space. What's to dislike about this? (except the fact that I can't afford to buy one)
Let's face it, if you have £90K+ to spend on this (which is what it will cost with options) then it won't be the only car in your stable. Not sure I agree on the 'Audi driver' bashing that goes on here. You will have the same image problem (if being wealthy is an image problem) so matter which £90K car you drive around in.

Blimey! All this Audi bashing on here; I'm beginning to thing some of you have been talking to my BMW-320d-auto driving brother!
All these things come and go. People were bashing BMWs before and hopefully we'll move on to bashing Mercs. I like Audis, though not too much of a fan of the A7's rear end looks.
I drive an A1, my Dad an 06 reg S4 saloon (his 5th Audi, 4th in my lifetime) and whilst I get tired of him complaining about his fuel economy when using the car to drive two miles to ASDA and back, it still feels better screwed together than my brother's 09 three series. My A1 also feels better built, and that's an entry level car!
End of rant haha.

Somebody's not happy that his brother has a far superior car in any way possible .All these things come and go. People were bashing BMWs before and hopefully we'll move on to bashing Mercs. I like Audis, though not too much of a fan of the A7's rear end looks.

I'm a big fan of earlier RS's but they really are losing the way. How over styled and blingy can you get? I know it's where the money is in far east markets, but can't help but think these markets will also wake up and see the cheapness one day.
I'd hang fire for the M6 Gran Coupe. Can't believe I'm sayings this, but it's much more subtle and sophisticated!

I had an Audi A4 as a company car in 1996 well built but dull to look at and drive. Back then Audi's design just looked like a scaling exercise. I actually thought the model name was the paper size used for the design
A4 sheet photo copy up A6 (A2 sheet) copy up A8 (A1 sheet), but Audi gave the A6(A2) and A8(A1) the wrong moniker. So jump forward 17 years and Audi design is still dull, their dna hasn't changed, the VW group as a whole don't excite look at the new GOLF, did they borrow the porsche 911 design boys for a week

But isn't it just the case that ALL mainstream manufacturers have a 'house style', and have had for years. Yes, one Audi looks very much like another, only the detailing and size changes. The same applies to BMW, Ford, Porsche, Vauxhall, in fact almost any modern car builder with the exception of some small volume specialists.
Have to say that I go with the majority on here who think the new RS7 looks awful notwithstanding the great drivetrain, driving dynamics etc.
