eek that price for the M6, that's almost Panamera Turbo money!
10% cheaper, nearer 15% after options, and the same performance and an interior every bit as good....why is that a shock? if anything, doesn't it make you query why the porsche is 10k more than the BMW?

and I'd take the BMW any day.

I'd probably take a new Rapide S (550 bhp) over either of them though, although it's a bit more expensive.

Well, because, and mind you I thought I'd never say this, the Panamera looks about 10x better hehe

It makes me wonder whether the RS7 will really be priced just over £77k as reported in the other thread because if that's the BMW's competition £50k is hell of a price difference!

£20k you mean? agree, that's a huge difference. maybe audi got annoyed that BMWs M135i was so cheap hehe

I can't wait to see a triple test in Evo between the M6 GC, RS7 and updated CLS63 AMG with the new 577bhp engine from the E63S.

Wowzer. The M6 wins on looks straight away, which is half the battle in this market.

Jesus, that Mercedes is hideous. The Audi looks like a B1tches handbag - and the BMW is spot on. A very pretty, clean and elegant bit of styling.

I think the 4 series will be a looker, probably more so when decked out in full m-sport attire.
yes

BMW are making properly handsome cars again.
yes Lovely, especially the 4 series. Best looking BMW for a while imo.
+1 Stunning...simply stunning - and to use an old Audi tagline - a 6er Coupe in an espresso lick

It's actually £29.5k diff based on a generous exchange of 1.2 to the pound ... Crazy difference in price ... That ICE they are smoking over at BMW must be gooooood!

It'll be interesting to see how much you could spend on an M6GC when you get a bit carried away with extras.

Without going Individual, it's unlikely to be much as M cars come pretty loaded these days.

That's true, although you can spec an M5 to c.£100k - admittedly with an individual colour scheme.

i don't see the relevance of that on a UK forum? the GC is cheaper than the 6 cabrio, and <£2k more than the coupe. by that the M6GC will be around £96k. so why quote figures from Germany on a UK website?

You asked where the £30k price difference came from. I was highlighting how X5TUU had reached his figure.

Sure, it looks good - but why does it need to be longer and wider than the 4-door? I am thinking the 2er might be more my cup of tea, hope it's not got angry hamster face looks like the F20.

The F31 Touring really is handsome though, I was picking up some parts from Westerly today and saw a lovely black Sport one with dark tints and red interior - looked fantastic!

BMW have stated the 4 series will be more of a model in it's own right than simply a 3 series coupe as with precious models.
The 4 series will have a more sporty stance, the M4 will be even more focused and hardcore than the M3. It's hardly massively wider and longer than the 4 door. The 2 series models will be coming in below these ranges so there'll be something for everyone.

That M6 GC is the best looking 4 door coupe by a country mile IMO and the 4 series is lovely too! I just hope BMW find a way for the M3 lineage to continue!
Which makes me wonder why they didn't call the new 3 series saloon the 4 series (it is the 4 door after all), and give the new coupe line the 3 series monikor. That way negating the issue of potentially losing the M3 lineage.
Thats a good idea. I guess the main reason for changing it at all will be for pricing!

Styling-wise, out of the Top 3 German marques, I'd say BMW were about 15th... they did once make good-looking cars, right?
